Kalin came to Demos in 2008. She is responsible for financial management, facility management, IT management, and personnel management. She is also in charge of the support needs of all programmatic departments. Kalin has worked closely with The American Prospect since the integration of the two organizations in March 2010. She also oversees the Demos internship program and assists the development of the Women's Leadership Initiative.

Previously Kalin worked with the National Council for Research on Women and held internships with the Global Justice Center and the Funding Exchange. She did graduate work in International Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and has B.A. degrees in International Studies and French from St. Norbert College in Wisconsin, where she studied in Madagascar, Mexico, and France and at the United Nations.
