David Callahan is a co-founder of Demos and now leads its International Program. He is the author Trading Up, as well other other Demos reports on trade, globalization, and the environment. His three books on U.S. foreign policy and international affairs include Unwinnable Wars: American Power and Ethnic Conflict. David's many articles have been published in such places as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Foreign Policy, and The American Prospect. He is also a regular commentator on radio and television programs and a frequent public speaker.

In addition to his research and writing on global affairs, David has written widely on issues of values and ethics. He is the author of the The Cheating Culture: Why More Americans Are Doing Wrong to Do Well as well as The Moral Center: How Progressives Can Unite America Around Our Shared Values. David received his B.A. at Hampshire College and his Ph.D in Politics at Princeton University.
